Na’ama’s Fattoush

I enjoyed several soup and salad/ salad and sandwich combos this week. Fattoush is an Arabic salad many sources say that it originates in Northern Lebanon. I’ve had fattoush before but this one I really enjoyed since it was herby, acidic, vegetable driven but the naan with homemade buttermilk gave the mouthfeel and taste of cheese. If you make this, I would recommend that you keep the salad and herbs part separate from the dressing and from the “buttermilk”, so the veggies would stay nice and crisp and not loose too much water. Then you just mix the dressing, naan and “buttermilk” before you eat. My big complaint was that the tomatoes that I purchased were a bit past ripe, but that was completely my fault.
