I love to make pizza with my boyfriend. There was a couple of weeks where that’s what all we ate every weekend. Hands down Wegmans carries the best Pizza sauce. Not that terrible canned sauce, but in their pizza section; their sauce is flavorful and well-balanced.
So instead of using some of their pre-made dough, I made some with the leftover whole wheat flour and bread flour that I had on hand. Yum! This dough was good. I expected it to not cook correctly or have a weird flavor, but I wasn’t disappointed. It probably could have used a little more salt. The recipe yielded enough dough for 2 individual pizzas.
Here’s how I make pizzas:
Get the dough ready. Use olive oil on your hands to shape the dough and make sure it doesn’t stick if you’re using a sheet, although I like putting the pizza directly on the rack. Bake on 400 for 20 minutes, more if the pizza is huge (which is what happened when I was focused on crab cakes and didn’t correct my boyfriend’s dough shaping)
I used Whole wheat dough, Wegmans pizza sauce, handful of spinach, whole milk Mozzarella cheese, and mushrooms. This dough would be good
