
Yum. Absolute yum.
You can totally tell that this is a French-inspired recipe. Other that the obvious that it’s using a French mother sauce, any time that you’re cooking a recipe that involves butter, cream and shallots…yep, that’s French.
This isn’t a completely vegetarian dish. There’s just enough ham to give it extra flavoring, salt and texture. I ate this along with a leftover pork chop and it was super satisfying on a rainy, October night. I’m also looking forward to having leftovers for breakfast tomorrow with a chilled can of espresso.
I love October. And potatoes.
