Germany. Week One

I’ve created the meal plan for this week. I’m going to make:

Radishes with Open-Faced Chive Sandwiches (Bavaria)

Peppered Mackerel Mousse (Northern Germany)

Roast Chicken

Green Salad with Vinaigrette

Beurre Noisette

Breaded Pork Schnitzel

The Open-faced radish sandwiches will be for breakfast. I’m weird and hate sweet food for breakfast. I would rather eat leftovers for breakfast and have cereal as a night snack. I plan on boiling eggs for a side. I also plan on making bread tomorrow.

The Mousse will be for lunch with more bread

Roast chicken will the green salad will be dinner

I realize that I didn’t plan on a snack, but I may munch on radishes and cucumbers that I have.

So all the plans are for one person (me!) to eat over the week. I have a feeling I may have to add another recipe, but that’s okay! Also, occasionally I will share with my boyfriend…because I’m nice 🙂

So I updated the breakfast (previously I was going to make Herb, Egg and Cucumber dip) since I couldn’t find Quark anywhere. I looked to order it on Amazon and it’s ridiculously expensive and may not be the right consistency. I bought my groceries from Lidl and Kroger and will have to special order a few ingredients from Prime and Penzey’s.
